On February 15th, at the construction site of the expansion project of Beijing Automobile Works (BAW) in Laixi, the towering crane arms lifted large steel structure columns over 30 meters high for installation. The on-site command and mechanical construction were carried out in an orderly manner. "We started processing this project before the Spring Festival. After a tense and orderly production process, we completed the production and processing of the columns on February 14th and began the first lift on the 15th," said Liu Jiaping, assistant to the president of Qingdao Eihe Steel Structure Group Co., who was organizing the construction on site. Since 2020, the company has been a partner of BAW. With its strong strength, first-class product quality, and efficient service, it has been highly recognized by BAW and has successively undertaken steel structure business for BAW's main plant and supporting factories, becoming a gold partner of BAW.

The BAW expansion project is one of Eihe Steel Structure's key projects for 2025. After the Spring Festival this year, the company officially resumed work on the eighth day of the lunar new year, and quickly got into the working state. The production of the terminal building extension project of Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport and large nuclear power projects is proceeding in an orderly and rapid manner.

Entering the company's production workshop, the laser cutting machine is autonomously cutting the plates according to the set program. Sparks are flying on the production line as workers are busily processing products. One by one, prefabricated steel structures are being transported out of the workshop, presenting a scene of vigorous production.

As a provincial-level new building industrialization base and a leading enterprise in the steel structure industry in Qingdao, over the past few years, Eihe Steel Structure has taken talent team building as the starting point and technological innovation as the support, making comprehensive efforts in design, manufacturing, installation, and service. In the production workshop of Eihe Steel Structure, a 200-ton plate rolling machine is particularly eye-catching. Plates 2 centimeters thick are continuously rolled and formed and output. "This plate rolling machine was purchased at a cost of 2 million yuan and is the first of its kind in the same industry in Qingdao. This equipment can process plates up to 8 centimeters thick, greatly enhancing the company's ability to process special-shaped materials and undertake large-scale projects," said Liu Jiaping with pride. It is understood that the company has been continuously strengthening the construction of intelligent factories, introducing new equipment and implementing new processes. On the basis of the existing 12,000-watt laser cutting machine, it has invested 2 million yuan to introduce a 20,000-watt large laser cutting machine, significantly improving production accuracy and efficiency. The company has established research and production cooperation relationships with universities and research institutions such as Qingdao University of Technology, accelerating the advancement of intelligent production and site management. At the same time, the company is also promoting digital and information construction, using QR codes, barcodes, and scanning guns as media to build a BIM platform, enabling real-time communication between the manufacturing end and the site end of the project and achieving visual management.

The continuous enhancement of comprehensive strength has strengthened Eihe Steel Structure's core competitiveness. In July 2024, the Qingdao Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau officially announced the first batch of intelligent construction production enterprises in Qingdao. This is another honor for Eihe Steel Structure after being awarded the title of a leading backbone enterprise in the entire construction industry chain in Shandong Province in March 2024.

From leaving Qingdao and expanding throughout the province a decade ago to now reaching across the country, Eihe Steel Structure's steps to go global have been firm and powerful. The projects it undertakes have blossomed all over the country: FAW Jiefang Light Trucks, Qingdao Port, Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, Tianjin Bohua, Beijing Xihongmen, Chongqing Changan New Energy Vehicle...
